Position: Site Agent (Asphalt)

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Site Agent specializing in asphalt for our esteemed client, a leading civil engineering company. Responsibilities:

Plan and execute project activities, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to timelines.

Maintain comprehensive site diaries and records, ensuring all details are accurately documented.

Oversee the management and appointment of subcontractors and project-specific staff.

Collaborate closely with Engineers, Surveyors, the Contract Manager, and Clients to guarantee projects are completed safely and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Manage all project-related correspondence, ensuring updates and communications are handled efficiently.

Draft and issue necessary letters and notices to the Principal Agent as required.

Serve as the primary point of contact between the project and the client, facilitating smooth communication and coordination among all stakeholders.

Deliver multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they meet specified quality standards, stay on schedule, and achieve optimal commercial performance.

Maintain high standards in health and safety, quality control, environmental impact, and cost management.

Produce accurate and detailed monthly reports for internal use.

Compile certificates that detail the measurements of work completed each month.

Provide timely feedback and effective solutions for any on-site issues or challenges that arise.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Previous experience working as a Site Agent in asphalt construction or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of asphalt construction processes and techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Valid driver’s license.

Good understanding of the construction industry.

Knowledge of requirements for Asphalt Annual Tender work for municipalities.

5 years of senior experience in asphalt paving and managing asphalt paving teams.
