Summary
We're on the lookout for a meticulous, experienced Quantity Surveyor with a zeal for the Property sector. This full‑time role centers on overseeing the financial and contractual dimensions of property development projects—from cost estimation and budgeting to contract administration and delivery within time and budget targets. WhatYou’ll Do
- Cost estimation and financial planning:
Prepare and reassess cost plans and estimates for development projects. - Budget management:
Develop, track, and control project budgets through the full lifecycle. - Cost and risk control:
Implement value engineering, risk assessments, and cost control measures. - Contract and documentation:
Create and manage contract documents, including bills of quantities. - Contract administration and procurement:
Negotiate and oversee contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Claims and dispute support:
Provide guidance on contractual claims and dispute resolution. - Compliance and safety:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. - Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
- Proven experience as a Professional Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the property development sphere.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of current health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' proven working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Property Industry.
- Professional Certification (e.g. SACQSP, RICS essential).
- Strong knowledge of property development processes, construction methods, materials and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.li>
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to independently and as part of a team.
