Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide comprehensive HSE support for a complex solar PV construction project by managing HSE systems, performing field inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among internal teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct daily HSE inspections (80% field work, 20% admin)
- Manage access control systems (e.g. eGEstiona) and update HSE Hub records
- Supervise and enforce health & safety protocols with contractors and site personnel
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training
- Support and track the implementation of RAMS, PTWs, and improvement plans
- Assist with internal audits, root cause analysis, and investigations
- Prepare and review HSE incident reports and ensure timely close-out of action items
- Develop and maintain HSE documentation and access approvals
- Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper controls are in place
- Actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly site HSE meetings
- Support the implementation of contractor management processes, including evaluations and kick-off meetings
- Provide visible field presence, coaching site teams on HSE compliance
Skills Required:
- Relevant certification in Health, Safety & Environment or a related field
- CSACPCMP – CSHO registered
- 1–3 years of experience in HSE support roles, preferably in renewable energy or construction
- Familiarity with HSE software and platforms such as HSE Hub and eGEstiona
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations and contractor safety protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting
- Basic knowledge of ISO standards and risk assessment practices
