Site Supervisor - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on various construction sites in and around Cape Town . This role is crucial for ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, responsible for coordinating trades, managing materials, and ensuring compliance with all project specifications and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction processes and best practices in a dynamic building environment .

• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers on site to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Manage material deliveries and inventory, ensuring necessary resources are available when needed to prevent delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols .
• Maintain detailed daily logs of site activities, progress, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship meets or exceeds project requirements and standards.

• Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role, with a solid understanding of building procedures.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and building materials .
• Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce them strictly on-site.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on efficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for construction projects .
