About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead diverse projects in Cape Town . This role offers a hybrid work model, blending strategic remote planning with essential on-site engagement. You will be responsible for the overall management of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting to execution and final handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position requires a leader who can effectively coordinate teams, manage risks, and communicate clearly with all project stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of construction projects , ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management plans .
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and project personnel.
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings, both in person and remotely.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience with hybrid work models, managing projects effectively across remote and on-site environments.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and contract negotiation.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills .
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
