Role Description The Senior Site Foreman role is a full-time, on-site position based in the City of Cape Town. This role oversees day-to-day site operations, including coordinating teams, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that construction activities follow project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Senior Site Foreman manages the use of materials and heavy equipment, resolves on-site issues, and liaises with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work on schedule.

Daily responsibilities include supervising carpentry and maintenance tasks, conducting site inspections, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a safe working environment. The role also involves communicating clearly with all team members, providing guidance, and supporting continuous improvement on the site.
Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coordination of site personnel, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with heavy equipment operations, site logistics, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and on-site teams.
• Practical carpentry skills and hands-on experience with structural and finishing work.
• Maintenance skills for overseeing repairs, preventative maintenance, and general site upkeep.
• Proven experience as a Foreman or Senior Foreman in construction or property development projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and time management.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification in construction, carpentry, or a related field; additional site management training is an advantage.
