Construction Project Manager - Commercial Developments

Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead their commercial development projects in Cape Town. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of projects, ensuring successful delivery through effective resource management, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to achieving project milestones efficiently and safely.

• Oversee all phases of the construction project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to final handover.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and compliance.
• Manage on-site operations, including contractor coordination, progress monitoring, and quality control.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management within the commercial construction sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple large-scale construction projects concurrently.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and financial management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
