Service Advisor – Cape Town – Automotive

Position Overview:

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as a Service Advisor at their automotive service center in Cape Town. The Service Advisor will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing customer inquiries and concerns, and coordinating service appointments and repairs for automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities

Customer Service:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering a personalized experience.

Service Coordination:

  • Schedule service appointments and communicate effectively with customers to manage their expectations.
  • Undertake a comprehensive assessment of customer vehicles to determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Liaise closely with service technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Inform customers about the progress of their vehicles, as well as any additional repair or maintenance requirements.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records and documentation.
  • Generate service quotes and invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing and billing.
  • Manage inventory of required parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Process warranty claims and ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately.

Upselling and Revenue Generation:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling additional service offerings or maintenance packages.
  • Provide detailed explanations and recommendations to customers regarding additional services or necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote service contracts and extended warranties.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications or education preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with warranty policies and procedures.
Compensation
  • Salary negotiable.
