Junior Interior Designers

At John Jacob Interiors, we offer a holistic approach to design from architectural detailing to furnishing and we're looking for a Junior Interior Designer with a passion for creating timeless, elegant spaces to join our award-winning team.

• Collaborate with Senior Interior Designers from design development through to project execution.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections and joinery/furniture factory meetings.
• Handle procurement for projects, including sourcing and selecting finishes, sanitaryware, and ironmongery.
• Produce comprehensive working drawings in AutoCAD and project schedules (lighting, sanitaryware, doors, finishes, etc).

• Minimum 2 years experience in interior design or interior architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Sketchup (essential)
• Bachelor's degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Flexible and capable of working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Must reside in Cape Town, South Africa and have a reliable car for site visits.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for projects.
• Commitment to excellence in both design and execution.
• Required to provide contactable references.
