Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client seeks a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their esteemed practice in Cape Town . This role focuses on developing innovative design concepts and translating them into comprehensive construction documents for a variety of building typologies. You will work closely with senior architects and project managers, contributing to the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept sketches and 3D modeling to detailed technical drawings.

The position is ideal for a designer passionate about contemporary aesthetics and sustainable design, who wants to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative and inspiring studio environment.

• Develop conceptual designs, architectural drawings, and 3D models for various project types.
• Produce detailed construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
• Collaborate with the design team to explore design alternatives and present solutions to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Research and specify building materials and finishes.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related design field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural design, preferably within a professional firm.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up , and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
• Strong understanding of design principles, building systems, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent visual communication skills, including sketching and rendering abilities.
