About the Role
Our client, a respected architectural practice based in Cape Town , is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to enhance their design and documentation capabilities. You will be instrumental in translating architectural concepts into buildable realities, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to design intent. This role is perfect for a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail who thrives in a collaborative studio environment.
You will work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to the successful execution of designs within the vibrant Western Cape architectural scene. Our firm is committed to delivering exceptional design solutions and providing a supportive workplace for its dedicated team.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for architectural projects using CAD and BIM software .
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and construction phase support.
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design and specifications.
- Research and recommend suitable building materials and construction methods.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes in South Africa .
- Ability to produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
