Project Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Architect to join their esteemed firm in the vibrant city of Cape Town . You will be responsible for managing architectural projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest design standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of coordinating effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and construction professionals.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the firm's reputation for excellence in design and project delivery within the dynamic Western Cape architectural landscape.

• Manage architectural projects, overseeing all phases from initial design to final handover.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress closely.
• Prepare and present design proposals, concept designs, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate and liaise with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning permissions, and all relevant legislation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction quality and progress.

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Project Architect .
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple architectural projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant design and documentation software.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes and construction practices.
• Excellent client liaison and negotiation skills.
