Clinton Savage & Partners is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design practice based in Cape Town, working on high-end private residential and selected hospitality projects in South Africa and internationally. As our studio continues to grow, we are looking for a talented Mid-level Interior Architect to join our collaborative team. You will work across ambitious residential projects from concept development through documentation and implementation on site, contributing both creatively and technically to beautifully resolved interiors.

Success in this role means combining strong design ability with technical confidence and a practical mindset: taking ownership of your work, collaborating effectively across project teams, and helping translate design ideas into exceptionally considered built outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to interior architecture projects from concept development through to detailed design, documentation and implementation.
  • Develop design concepts, spatial layouts, material palettes and detailed interior solutions.
  • Produce accurate technical drawings, detailing and documentation in Revit.
  • Translate design intent into practical, buildable and beautifully resolved solutions.
  • Coordinate interior architecture with architectural, FF&E and décor elements to maintain a cohesive overall design vision.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other members of the project team.
  • Assist with material, finish, fixture and fitting selection and specification.
  • Participate in project meetings, presentations and design reviews.
  • Support projects during construction and installation, including site coordination and resolving design and technical issues.
  • Take ownership of allocated work, managing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of design and documentation.
  • Contribute positively to the creative and collaborative culture of the studio.
Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
    .
  • Approximately 3-5 years' post-qualification professional experience
    , ideally within a high-quality residential or design-led practice.
  • Strong Revit skills are essential
    .
  • Strong technical drawing, detailing and documentation capability.
  • A sophisticated design sensibility and strong understanding of materials, finishes, proportion and spatial design.
  • Experience working across multiple stages of the project lifecycle, from concept through to site.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with technical and practical considerations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • An interest in AI, visualisation and emerging design technologies would be an advantage.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa
