About this position
About the role
Our client is a leading design studio specialising in high-end residential and hospitality projects. They are looking for a talented Mid-Level Interior Designer / Interior Architect to join their Cape Town team and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to site implementation.
Requirements
- B.Tech in Interior Architecture/Design or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- 3 to 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Experience delivering projects from concept design through documentation, procurement and implementation.
- Proficiency in Revit (essential).
- Strong technical drawing, detailing and documentation skills.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, buildability, materials and finishes.
- Strong organisational, coordination and administrative skills.
- Interest in AI and emerging digital tools would be an advantage.
- Must be Cape Town-based and able to work from the Woodstock studio:
Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-16:00.
Key considerations
Revit expertise is non-negotiable. The studio’s entire workflow is built around Revit, so candidates must be confident and experienced users.
Beyond the technical requirements, the ideal candidate takes ownership of their work packages and sees projects through from start to finish. They should be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, liaising directly with contractors and staying composed in a fast-paced environment.
The studio values proactive team members who identify challenges early, communicate well with Project Leads and contribute positively to a busy, collaborative culture. The environment is enjoyable and rewarding, but also demanding, and calls for resilience, initiative and a hands-on approach.
Remuneration
Market related, depending on experience.
