Architectural Technologist

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Prepare construction documentation for various project types, including residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and project coordination.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, zoning laws, and health and safety standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration.
• Research and specify building materials and systems.
• Contribute to design development by providing technical expertise.
• Maintain project documentation and records.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architectural Technologist (Pr.Arch.Tech) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural technology practice.
• Proficiency in architectural software, including AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Sketch Up.
• Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa .
• Based in or willing to commute to Cape Town, Western Cape .
