Job Summary

This is a part time role and could provide you an excellent opportunity to support our lecturers and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students on the BCOM Marketing Programme, specifically in the Modules for:

• Digital Marketing
• Stats & Math Support

This is a hybrid position, in which you will be required to spend certain scheduled times at our campus in Cape Town. You will be required to work closely with the Managers of the School and the lecturing team to maintain, develop and grow Red & Yellow's respected programme offering.

This position will require a commitment from the successful candidate to start on 1 February 2026 - 30 June 2026 there will be a semester break and then commence again from 15 July 2026 - 30 November 2026. The hour commitment will be approximately 2-3 days or 16-24 hours per week - exact times & dates TBC.

This will suit a Freelancer, Existing Honours Student or Recent Graduate - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED FULL TIME. You have to be on Campus certian days of the week.

This position will require, but is not limited, to the following activities:

• Assisting the module lecturer with facilitating contact and distance delivery of module material.
• Guided lecturing and conducting tutorials in accordance with the requirements of the programme outcomes and in accordance with the accredited programme outlines.
• The tutoring of 2/3 of modules per semester (depending on class size).
• Planning lesson planning, tutorial content and marking tutorials, activities and formative assessments.
• Provide student support for contact and distance learning.
• Participate in the monitoring & evaluation of the academic programme, including attendance and maintenance of student records.
• Conduct marking and participate in the moderation processes.
• Attend regular meetings with respective lecturer, faculty meetings and general staff meetings.
• Ensure both hard and electronic filing of all required documentation, including tracking and reporting on at-risk students.
• Adhere to centralised policies and procedures that ensure outstanding quality and unquestionable integrity of all academic programmes that are offered.
• Attend relevant marketing activities for the school (i.e. Open days etc.)

• A BCom degree and currently enrolled in a Honours/ PG Dip degree in Marketing or Business Management (depending the TA Position)
• Experience in facilitating student learning, engagement and activities via respective LMS platform would be advantageous.
