Lecturer/Senior:
School of Information Technology

• 1. Lecturing and Assessment: Deliver engaging lectures and assess students in accordance with the accredited programmes and module requirements. Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams, and other assessments to facilitate student learning and growth.
• 2. Learning Management System (LMS): Independently utilise the learning management system and collaborate with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver modules effectively.
• 3. Curriculum Development: Participate in the ongoing development of programmes and curriculum, incorporating current educational trends and best practices.
• 4. Internal Moderation: Undertake assigned internal moderation responsibilities to ensure assessment validity and reliability.
• 5. Assessment Invigilation: Conduct venue-based assessment invigilation as required by the Registrar's Office.
• 6. Academic Support: Provide academic guidance and support to students, addressing their concerns and queries promptly.
• 7. Quality Assurance: Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to modules and programmes to ensure compliance with academic standards.
• 8. Research and Community Engagement: Engage in research activities and contribute to community projects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and positive societal impact.
• 9. Effective Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and management members.
• 10. Administrative Efficiency: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining administrative efficiency.

  Participate in meetings, workshops, and relevant committees as requested by management.
• 12. Administrative Functions: Fulfil administrative duties related to the position as directed by the relevant line manager.

• Proficiency in systems administration, databases, and software development.
• Strong programming background (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, or similar) with data science, machine learning, and software engineering exposure.
• Knowledge of Android mobile application development will be highly advantageous.
• Prior teaching experience at a higher education level or professional/industry experience in IT infrastructure and systems.

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• For senior lecturer, a PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+, Data Science, Security+) are advantageous.
