job purpose- to contribute to curriculum development and to teach according to a set syllabus while providing support to the faculty in achieving its academic objectives
- contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the faculty to enhance learning while promoting entrepreneurship learning according to the needs of the community
- support and expand programmes for co‑operative education
- undertake academic administration and faculty training initiatives
- support faculty and departmental research initiatives by undertaking research and contributing towards the group
- engage in work-integrated learning, and service‑learning activities
- master’s degree in architecture or architectural technology from a sacap‑accredited architectural learning site
- at least two (2) years of relevant lecturing experience at a post‑qualification level at an accredited sacap architectural learning site
- eligibility to register with sacap
- a minimum of two (2) years of professional practice in the field of architecture.
- demonstrated advanced competency in architectural design.
- demonstrated advanced competency in architectural technology.
- a proven track record in the integrated application of architectural design and building technology in projects of medium complexity, including buildings up to medium‑rise scale.
- experience in the incorporation of sustainability principles, measures, and technical specifications within architectural design and technological resolution.
- high‑level proficiency in revit, autocad, bim workflows, the adobe creative suite, and other digital drafting and architectural presentation platforms.
- deliver courses using blended learning methodologies at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- operate on a learner management system (on the official university platform) over a range of courses
- instruction in revit and various digital presentation programs
- participate in curriculum development and learning design
- perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the department
- participate in the quality assurance activities of the department (internal and external)
- participate in research and skills development
- contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum.
- develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co‑operative education, new techniques/technologies and research projects
- assist with marketing and recruitment activities
- perform other functions as may be assigned by the head of department

- computer skills and adapting to new technologies & digital platforms
- excellent revit, bim, sketchup, adobe suite and 3d‑modeling skills (e.g. Lumion, enscape, v‑ray) skills

- ability to create interactive educational materials and develop blended learning teaching methodologies
