Role Overview:
We are seeking a confident, engaging, and knowledgeable German Speaking Facilitator to support candidates preparing for employment onboard cruise ships. The facilitator will assist learners in developing practical German communication skills required for interviews, training, and onboard interactions.
This role focuses on guiding beginners and developing speakers through structured, real-world conversational practice, hospitality-related vocabulary, and confidence-building exercises.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate German language sessions for beginner to intermediate learners
Support candidates in improving speaking, listening, and comprehension skills
Guide learners through practical, job-related communication scenarios
Help candidates prepare for interviews and workplace interactions
Create an engaging, supportive, and professional learning environment
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement
Minimum Requirements:
German language proficiency at B1 to C1 level (CEFR standard)
Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills
Ability to explain concepts clearly to non-native speakers
Comfortable working with beginner-level learners
Patient, supportive, and professional demeanor
Prior teaching, training, or facilitation experience is advantageous
Preferred Qualities:
Background in language training, education, or coaching
Hospitality or cruise industry knowledge (beneficial but not required)
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to motivate and build learner confidence
