Description

The successful candidate will be expected to perform in the following areas:

• Lecture subjects in the ECP Environmental Management (Population Ecosystems and Environmental Resources Population Ecology).
• Develop reusable learning and teaching materials for the subjects being taught (e.g., lecture notes, tutorials, online content).
• Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department.
• Participate in curriculum development activities.
• Contribute to the department's Work Integrated Learning and community engagement goals.
• Supervise and assess undergraduate and postgraduate Environmental Health students for their exit-level projects.
• Participate in research and produce DHET-accredited publications at a rate of at least 0.5 publication units per year.
• Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department.
• Assist with marketing and student recruitment activities.
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

An appropriate Masters degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or equivalent

• Two years relevant working experience of which one year must be in teaching.
• Base qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or equivalent

Industry experience will be an added advantage
