Job Description

Driving impactful strategy and operational leadership across global Christian initiatives, this role oversees Social Direct marketing efforts designed to engage audiences and foster meaningful outcomes  position is responsible for managing marketing systems, directing advertising budgets, scoping projects, and establishing key performance indicators to deliver complex campaigns on time and within budget.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, strategy managers, and data analysts, the role focuses on embedding a data-driven culture of continuous improvement . This includes evaluating marketing tools, leveraging insights to guide overall strategy, leading change management, and ensuring strict compliance with data governance and privacy standards .

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee Social Direct marketing strategies aligned with overarching organisational goals, collaborating with key leadership to shape direction .
  • Deliver data-driven insights for strategic planning, assist with project scoping, align KPIs, and define success metrics .
  • Manage internal marketing systems and processes, including ad management, budgeting, and operational procedures .
  • Partner with the Business Analyst and Initiative Lead on budget planning, spend reconciliation, and marketing tool evaluation to optimise operations .
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Localisation Managers, Project Managers, and Social Direct personnel to ensure project deliverables meet budget and timeline requirements .
  • Promote data-driven decision-making, foster continuous improvement, and support transparent communication across teams .
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team, contributing to onboarding, training, and change management for new systems or policies .
  • Ensure strict adherence to data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards across all marketing operations .
  • Spearhead technology and automation adoption within marketing, remaining current with digital marketing developments and AI automation .
  • Collaborate across global time zones, maintaining flexibility for occasional out-of-hours availability .
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in both organic and paid marketing strategy, with a proven background in Social Direct marketing aligned with organisational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement, and implementing data-driven decision-making .
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, privacy standards, regulatory compliance, and marketing oversight .
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in using data to shape strategy and measure performance .
  • Proven capability in evaluating, recommending, and implementing marketing tools, systems, and process automations .
  • Experience in automating reporting workflows, content workflows, and operational practices involving localisation tools and AI-assisted systems .
  • Strong organisational, detail-oriented, and multitasking skills to manage multiple concurrent projects .
  • Excellent communication, relational, and change management skills in complex organisational environments .
  • Practicing Christian in full agreement with the organisation's Statement of Faith, actively involved in a local church community, and committed to biblical values .
  • Alignment with global Christian mission, background in missions, digital ministry, or discipleship, and a passion for reaching Unreached People Groups .
  • Marketing degree or diploma (accepted alongside relevant proven experience) .
