Role Description The Beauty Therapy Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cape Town. The educator will plan, deliver, and assess beauty therapy training modules, ensuring that learners gain strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, demonstrating treatments and techniques, supervising hands-on practice, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role also involves maintaining training materials, monitoring learner progress, supporting exam preparation, and ensuring all teaching aligns with industry and academy standards.
The educator will collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the curriculum and contribute to a professional, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Recognized qualification in beauty therapy or cosmetology, with strong practical experience in salon or spa settings.
- Proven experience in education, training, or mentoring within the beauty industry, including lesson planning and learner assessment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain techniques clearly and support diverse learning styles.
- Excellent organizational skills, including record-keeping, time management, and the ability to manage multiple classes or cohorts.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, hygiene and safety protocols, and emerging beauty trends and technologies.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and a supportive approach to learner development.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Cape Town and collaborate effectively with the academy team.
- Previous experience with accredited training programs or regulatory bodies is an advantage.
