About the Role
Our client is looking for an inspiring and experienced Lead Primary School English Teacher to guide the English curriculum and faculty in Cape Town . This leadership position involves shaping pedagogical approaches to literacy, fostering a love for reading and writing, and ensuring all students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with junior teachers, providing mentorship and professional development to maintain high standards of instruction.

- Oversee the development and implementation of the primary school English curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and effective.
- Mentor and support primary school English teachers, conducting classroom observations and providing constructive feedback.
- Design and deliver dynamic English lessons for primary school students, focusing on phonics, reading comprehension, creative writing, and grammar.
- Organize and lead school-wide literacy initiatives and events to promote reading across the school.
- Collaborate with the senior management team on strategic planning related to curriculum enhancement and student well-being.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in English or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
- At least 6 years of experience teaching English in primary school settings, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong understanding of early literacy development and best practices in language arts instruction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
