About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join their vibrant daycare center in Cape Town . You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, play, and grow. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of preschoolers. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development, contributing to a center that prioritizes holistic child well-being and educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being both indoors and outdoors.
  • Observe and record children's progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating key observations to parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-teachers and center staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space, ensuring all safety regulations are met.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (e.g., NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a formal childcare or preschool setting.
  • A deep understanding of child development principles and best practices in early learning.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • First Aid certification is preferred.
