About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Preschool Teacher to spearhead curriculum development and educational programming at their esteemed facility in Cape Town . This leadership role involves designing innovative, play-based learning experiences for children aged 3-5 years, ensuring alignment with developmental milestones and educational standards. You will mentor and guide a team of preschool educators, fostering a collaborative environment focused on child-centered learning.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early education, possesses strong leadership qualities, and is committed to creating an inspiring and effective learning atmosphere for young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and refine a comprehensive preschool curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of preschool teachers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, providing detailed feedback to parents and staff.
  • Oversee classroom management to ensure a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the management team to enhance overall program quality and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with parents regarding their child's development and engagement in the program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in preschool education, with a proven track record in curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories and pedagogical approaches for preschool-aged children.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid teaching certification or license required.
