Montessori Teacher - Preschool

Our client is looking for an experienced Montessori Teacher to lead their preschool program in Cape Town . You will be responsible for creating and maintaining an authentic Montessori learning environment, guiding children aged 3-6 through self-directed activities. This role involves nurturing independence, fostering a love for learning, and preparing children for future academic success, all within a beautiful, prepared environment that encourages exploration and discovery, supported by a dedicated team of educators.

• Prepare and maintain the Montessori classroom environment, ensuring it is orderly, stimulating, and child-friendly.
• Guide children through the Montessori curriculum, observing their progress and individual needs.
• Facilitate grace and courtesy lessons, fostering social skills and respect among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and actively participate in school community events.

• Montessori certification (AMI, MACTE, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Montessori teacher.
• Deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its practical application.
• Excellent observation skills and ability to document child development.
• Strong proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
