Renewable Energy Analyst

Our client is looking for a sharp and data-driven Renewable Energy Analyst to join their strategic team in Upington . This role is critical for evaluating the feasibility, performance, and market potential of various renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms. You will conduct in-depth market research, financial modeling, and risk assessments to support investment decisions and optimize project development within the dynamic energy sector .

• Analyze market trends, policy developments, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector .
• Develop financial models to assess the economic viability and profitability of renewable energy projects.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential project development locations.
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for project execution and operation.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project development, engineering, and finance teams to support project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy market analysis , financial modeling, or project finance, with a focus on renewables.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind) and associated regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with GIS or other spatial analysis tools is a plus.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
