Remote Solar Power Systems Analyst

Our client is looking for a dedicated and analytical Remote Solar Power Systems Analyst to join their distributed team, supporting operations primarily in the Western Cape region. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for analyzing the performance of solar power systems, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to the optimization of energy output and system efficiency. You will work closely with field technicians and project managers to ensure the smooth operation of installations, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our service offerings.

• Monitor and analyze the performance data of solar power systems remotely using specialized software.
• Identify system faults, performance degradations, and potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Generate regular performance reports for management and clients, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Collaborate with installation and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of solar energy performance modeling and forecasting tools.
• Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and energy generation data.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical), Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in analyzing data from solar energy systems or other complex technical systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and experience with SCADA or monitoring platforms.
• Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic principles, system components, and performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
