We are seeking a Reliability & Qualification Engineer to strengthen our client’s Hardware Engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about testing the limits of technology and ensuring mission-critical systems perform reliably under extreme conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading qualification testing efforts, ensuring that developed units meet stringent defence and aerospace standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the execution of product qualification testing, working closely with technicians and engineering teams
- Draft detailed qualification test procedures in compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704)
- Manage readiness of test infrastructure and liaise with both internal teams and external testing facilities
- Oversee and conduct qualification testing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete data collection
- Analyse test results, identify root causes where issues arise, and provide engineering feedback to design teams
- Compile and present comprehensive qualification test reports for formal review and sign-off
- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Travel to off-site testing facilities as required
- BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing, reliability, or qualification engineering
- Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles
- Hands-on experience with environmental and functional qualification testing methodologies
- Familiarity with aerospace and defence standards, including DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704
- Ability to interpret and apply test procedures, reports, and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- A proactive team player with a positive, results-driven attitude
- Ability to manage multiple testing cycles and deadlines simultaneously
