Job PurposeThe person will be required to provide professional technical support to meet the needs of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A National Diploma/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with knowledge and experience in circuit design, electrical systems, workshop machines and fault-finding of electrical and computer systems.
- Minimum 2 years Electrical Engineering laboratory working experience in a tertiary institution.
- Knowledge and experience in circuit design, electrical systems, workshop machines and fault-finding of electrical and computer systems.
- IT support and computer repair related experience.
- Good track record in demonstrating and supervising of Electrical Engineering practicals in a tertiary institution.
- Sound engineering knowledge in problem solving.
- Schedule, coordinate and participate in projects as required by the electrical department.
- Maintenance and repair of lab equipment and consumables in line with the department’s requirements.
- Active engagement in training and career development.
- Assist staff and students with academic and industrial projects.
- Provide appropriate academic and laboratory support.
- Any additional departmental duties as assigned by the HoD.
