This is a full‑time, on‑site Qualified Technician role based in Cape Town. The role involves conducting routine and advanced materials and metallurgical tests to support various industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, and insurance. Key tasks include providing assistance with weld procedure qualifications, analysing failed components, ensuring QA/QC for client projects, and contributing to materials selection and processing optimisation. Collaboration with engineers and consultants to deliver high‑quality, timely reports will also be a vital part of day‑to‑day responsibilities.

• Good understanding and willingness to work with ISO 17025:2017 and adhere to the Quality Management System of the Company
• Knowledge of metallurgical testing, materials analysis, and failure analysis would be beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency in conducting weld procedure qualification tests and handling QA/QC protocols beneficial but not required
• Attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving abilities, and aptitude for working with advanced laboratory technology essential
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with cross‑functional teams in line with the company’s values of Mutual Trust and Respect essential
• Minimum requirement is an Advanced Diploma in Engineering.
