WATER AND SANITATION Senior Professional Officer

• B Tech, B Eng or BSC degree in Civil Engineering
• 5 to 8 years relevant experience
• Registration as professional with ECSA

• Apply a substantial body of knowledge within the discipline by effective implementation of Civil Engineering capital and operational projects, including the Planning, Design and Project execution in Reticulation.
• Investigate as-build drawings to undertake short- and long-term planning.
• Engage with Master Planning unit to understand the development requirements.
• Ensure that the City design standards and legislative requirements are maintained with the delivering of capital projects.
• Prepare and compile all documents into the Bid Document based on the latest template from SCM.
• Prepare documentation in agreement with SCM practitioner to the BSC/BEC committee.
• Project implementation and project management, by arranging project commencement and meeting with all stakeholders.
• Manage site risks and make engineering decisions, as required.
• Manage the Quality Management Plan and compliance to specifications.
• Maintain effective communication, awareness and information sharing.
• Manage financial administration of projects.
• Ensure compliance with corporate directives and statutory requirements and enhance service delivery.
