Senior BIM Modeller - Structures

AECOM is seeking a Senior BIM Modeller - Structures to be based in South Africa's Enterprise Capabilities office in Cape Town
. This position will support a team locally based in South Africa and Global Teams. As a part of AECOM's culture, it offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement which accommodates both office and out-of-office work schedules.

• Experience with Autodesk Revit Software (Buildings) or Bentley Open Buildings / Micro Station; able to model and produce drawings with limited supervision
• Check and coordinate project BIM models and deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements, industry standards, and the project BIM Execution Plan
• Check the completeness and accuracy of your work before review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member
• Follow coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other coordination software; support the team through the delivery phase
• Adopt creative and innovative solutions, undertake appropriate research, and document solutions
• Assist with the management and coordination of all incoming and outgoing model and drawing information
• Manage projects in BIM

• Organize own and others' work to meet deadlines
• Keep abreast of the latest software/techniques to increase productivity

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant Revit modelling
• BIM Qualification / Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Knowledge to set up configuration and administration of projects for respective discipline in Revit and AutoCAD
• Technical knowledge of concrete, steelwork, and reinforcement 3D modelling
• Ability to fulfil all listed duties and responsibilities
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Good technical knowledge of practice line discipline
• Understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines
• Computational skills – Dynamo / Grasshopper / Python
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, presentation software and working on projects in a BIM environment
• Develops BIM content based on modelling standards and BEP
• Knowledge of industry BIM standards, processes, and general approaches
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of delivery and client satisfaction
• Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
• Good commercial awareness / risk management skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
