The main purpose of the role:

The Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) will be responsible for the end-to-end
management and delivery of a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a large-scale hydrogen processing plant, in accordance with South African environmental legislation and applicable international best practice.

The role requires a registered and experienced EAP with demonstrable experience in
complex industrial, energy or hydrogen-related projects, including stakeholder engagement, specialist coordination, and regulatory approvals through to Environmental Authorisation (EA).

Requirements:

BSc / BTech /Honours/ Master’s degree in:

Environmental Science

Environmental Management

Environmental Engineering

Natural Sciences or related field

Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP)with a recognised

professional body (e.g. EAPASA or equivalent)

8–10+ years’ experience
as a practicing EAP

Proven experience delivering fullEIAs (Scoping + EIAR + EMPr) for:

Industrial plants

Energy infrastructure (renewables, fuels, gas, hydrogen, petrochemical or heavy industry)

Demonstrated success in securing Environmental Authorisations for complex

projects

Experience with
hydrogen, gas, chemical, or hazardous industrial facilities
strongly preferred
