We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a PV Design Engineer to join a growing renewable energy environment. This opportunity offers exposure to utility‑scale solar PV and BESS projects, focusing on energy yield modelling, plant design, and technical optimisation.

The PV Design Engineer will be responsible for supporting solar PV and hybrid PV‑BESS projects through energy yield modelling, concept plant design, and technical analysis. The role includes developing concept‑level PV system layouts, supporting feasibility assessments, and contributing to technical due diligence activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure technically sound and optimized project outcomes.

• Degree in Engineering (preferred)

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in solar PV engineering or renewable energy environments
• Strong experience in energy yield modelling using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar
• Experience in solar PV system design and layout development
• Understanding of utility‑scale PV project development processes
• Knowledge of DC optimisation, inverter loading, and plant configuration
• Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) (advantageous)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation
• High attention to detail and accuracy
