Sales Engineer

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team in Cape Town. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading automation brands to deliver tailored solutions across a diverse industrial client base.

Product Portfolio:

Our portfolio includes leading global brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rittal, LAPP, Balluff, Cognex, Troax, and Murrelektronik.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities
  • Respond to customer inquiries, including technical queries
  • Present technical products and solutions clearly and confidently
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge of automation products and applications
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and provide market feedback
  • Attend networking events and industry trade shows
Requirements

Education:
  • Engineering/Electrical qualification advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport
Experience:
  • 2–5 years’ experience in technical sales
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation components, including PLCs, switch gear, VSDs, safety systems, sensors (IO-Link), vision systems, and cabling
  • Proven track record of matching products to client needs and achieving sales targets
  • Established network in Western Cape/Cape Town

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Net Suite ERP experience advantageous
