Role & Responsibilities- Electrical distribution design for mining, data centres, water treatment and battery storage plants
- Earthing and lightning protection studies and design
- Motor starting and protection design
- Preparation of the technical content of enquiry documentation, typically including a scope description, technical specification, drawings, datasheets and Bills of Quantity (BOQ)
- Performs complex engineering, design, calculations, analysis and review of design documents when required
- Audits, inspections, factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing
- On‑site quality inspections and commissioning activities as required
- 10‑15 years’ suitable experience on industrial and/or renewable electrical applications, with electrical/mechatronic tertiary qualification
- Professional registration with ECSA
- Experience in design and construction supervision of
- LV Switchgear and LV plant reticulation
- MV switch gear, protection and MV plant reticulation
- LV and MV motor starting
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Harmonics and power quality
- Diesel generators and/or SSEG experience advantageous
- Experience with ETAP and/or Dig Silent is preferable
- A team player who is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines or design teams
- Commitment to resolving complex issues and knowledge of industry standards
- Familiarity with BIM and standardisation of workflows are advantageous
