AboutThe Role
DNV Maritime Middle East & Africa is looking for a dynamic young professional to join our team of Surveyors in Cape Town, South Africa.
The position reports to the Station Manager, South Africa Operations.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Ship in Operation Surveys onboard mobile offshore units as well as ship-in-operation at shipyards and offshore locations according to rules and regulations.
- Certification and verification of material & components according to rules and specified standards.
- Effectively interact with yards, owner’s representatives at the yard and manufacturers.
- Manage clients together with other relevant parts of our organization.
- Complete project-oriented work, including cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects.
- Perform project control, reporting, and follow-up within the due date.
- Responsible for professional and consistent deliveries throughout the project – plan, coordinate, follow up and improve the operational activities of the project by the framework in the DNV strategy, budget, the DMS, and other applicable instructions.

About You Position Qualifications- M.Sc. degree / Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering
- 1-3 years in maritime industry experience.
- Applicants should have valid work authorisation for South Africa.
- Valid driving license
- Availability and willingness for traveling.
- Good communication skills in English, verbally and in writing
- Problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Open‑minded.
- Caring for colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and responsible.
- Quick and curious learner.
