We are seeking an experienced Professional Civil Engineer to form part of an existing design office, support by managing a civil engineering design team and liaise with stakeholders and clients within the professional consulting engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project leader and Client liaison for private & municipal civil engineering projects.
  • Compilation of Feasibility-, Design
    - Tender Adjudication Reports and Project Close-Out Reports.
  • Compilation of Technical Specification, Tenders Specifications and Tender Documents.
  • Conduction site progress- & technical minutes and site inspections.
  • Project Lifecycle Management:
    Managing of project from Feasibility stage throughout to project close-out, which includes overall contract management,
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and relevant local authorities.
  • Ensure BVi design standards, technical specifications, and drawing quality are consistently maintained.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to skills development within the team.
  • Contribute to internal departmental planning – forecasting, invoicing, staff, etc.
Key Requirements
  • Must have

    B. Eng/BSc Eng. Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) with ECSA (non-negotiable)
  • Minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience within a civil engineering design office.
  • Extensive Contract and Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills is a key requirement.
  • Must have a pro‑active and self‑starter approach.
  • Experience in compiling reports for all stages of project implementation and good technical report writing skills.
  • Experience in liaising with Clients, Contractors and various Stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • CV with previous/present employer references, including contact details.
  • List of required work experience
  • Certified copies of  and driver’s licence.
