Chief Engineer – responsible for maintaining and improving the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of all hotel facilities, ensuring safety, comfort, and operational excellence.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment performing efficiently.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, and regulatory standards.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and monitor energy consumption to optimize efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly, minimizing downtime.
• Lead, train, and inspire the engineering team, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Manage technical projects, upgrades, and refurbishments from planning through execution.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to ensure quality work, compliance, and cost control.
• Manage engineering budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams to ensure seamless day‑to‑day performance.

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience in hospitality or large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Understanding of local safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Hands‑on experience on the floor, not behind a desk.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems confidently.
• Leadership with a supportive mindset and natural authority.
• Excellent organizational, proactive, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Balanced focus on operational priorities and long‑term improvement planning.
• Belief in preventive maintenance over emergency repairs.
• Clear communication across departments and with leadership.

• Pre‑opening experience is a bonus.
• Experience with BMS systems and hotel maintenance software.
• Strong sustainability awareness and energy optimization knowledge.
• International or lifestyle hospitality experience.
• A practical mindset combined with a positive, can‑do energy.
