Junior Draughtsperson

Our Blackheath (Cape Town) based client is looking to add 2 x Junior Draughtspersons to their team. The successful candidates will have a National Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Draughting Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience using Solid Works. Only candidates who are already in the Western Cape will be considered.

• ND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Draughting Diploma
• 2+ years’ experience with Solid Works using sheet metal
• Able to understand and visualise 3D
• Proficient in MS Office
• High attention to detail
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Sound admin, planning, organising and controlling skills
• Able to work without supervision, take initiative and be pro-active
• Team player
• Able to work over time
• CNC skills – advantage
• Report writing skills – advantage
• Knowledge of stainless steel metals - advantage

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00

• Create and prepare reports and presentations for management and production
• Create and maintain equipment manuals, brochures, etc.
• Create flat patterns and PDFs for production
