Role: FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERRole OverviewThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and overall service support of Vertice-maintained medical equipment. The role focuses on ensuring patient safety, minimising equipment downtime and delivering efficient, customer-focused technical support, including responding to service requirements locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installations, de-installations, preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure equipment performance and safety.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
- Complete all required service documentation and maintain accurate service records.
- Execute OEM Field Change Orders, mandatory upgrades and manufacturer requirements within required time frames.
- Maintain tools, spare parts and boot stock in good working order.
- Provide professional customer service and keep customers informed throughout the service process.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, OEM guidelines, medical-device regulations and the Quality Management System.
- Work closely with Technical, Sales, Regulatory and Quality teams to support effective service delivery.
- Diploma in Clinical Engineering or a similar qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ field service experience within the clinical engineering field.
