As an Electrical Engineer – Wind, you will support the engineering and delivery of technically compliant utility-scale wind projects across development, structuring, execution, and operations. Working alongside senior engineering team members, you will manage and lead allocated electrical engineering activities, technical assessments, investigations, and designs. Your expertise will help ensure that electrical systems, grid requirements, technical specifications, and contractual requirements are effectively incorporated throughout the project lifecycle and translated into safe, reliable, and high-performing renewable energy assets.
What you’ll be doingIn this role, you will take ownership of allocated electrical engineering and design activities across wind projects, including:
- Support the development of technical business cases, project base cases, specifications, and electrical design requirements for utility-scale wind projects
- Manage and coordinate technical assessments, investigations, due diligence studies, electrical system designs, and allocated engineering deliverables
- Review technical documentation and contractual requirements, including PPAs, Grid Codes, Connection Agreements, EPC and O&M contracts
- Support procurement activities through technical input into RFPs, supplier evaluations, technology selections, and technical contract schedules
- Coordinate and review detailed engineering designs, ensuring electrical and technical requirements established during project structuring are incorporated into construction designs
- Engage with utilities, suppliers, contractors, technical advisors, and other stakeholders to establish requirements and resolve technical matters throughout project development and execution
- Provide engineering support during construction, including design changes, quality requirements, site inspections, electrical works, testing, and commissioning
- Support project close-out and Technical Take Over (TTO), ensuring technical requirements and engineering deliverables are successfully completed

Experience and qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 7+ years’ electrical or electromechanical engineering experience, including at least 3 years within renewable energy
