Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Professional Structural Engineer to form part of an existing design office, support by managing a structural engineering design team and liaise with stakeholders and clients within the professional consulting engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Form part of an existing structural engineering design office.
  • Planning, identifying, and designing structural-related infrastructure and buildings.
  • Preparation of reports for all stages of project implementation, including inception, feasibility/ business plans, concept and viability, design development, tender and procurement, close-out, etc.
  • Overall contract/project management, including interaction with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, attendance at progress meetings, preparation of payment certificates, dealing with contractual claims, etc.
  • Manage junior staff, including supervision of drawings, designs, reports, etc.
  • Preparation of tender documentation, including specification writing, bill of quantities and drawings.
  • General Client liaison and marketing.
  • Must have BEng or BSc Eng degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA, non-negotiable
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years of post-graduate relevant experience in the structural engineering environment.
  • Experience in managing GCC-, JBCC-, NEC3- & PROCSA contracts and dealing with claims.
  • Experience in compiling reports for all stages of project implementation and good report writing skills.
  • Extensive Contract and Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in liaising with Clients, Contractors and various Stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Must have a pro-active and self-starter approach.
  • Strong teamwork skills required.
  • Proficient in English reading and writing.
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have proficient experience with the following Computer Software Programs:
    • Auto Cad
    • Revit
    • Prokon
    • MS Office Suite.

  • Certified copies of  driver’s license documents
