Graduate Mechanical Engineer Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our specialized HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate who is eager to gain practical experience in mechanical systems, HVAC design, thermal analysis, and industrial engineering projects. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, assisting with the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical systems while developing their technical and professional skills.

• Assist with the design and analysis of mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Perform thermal analysis and heat transfer calculations to support engineering designs.
• Assist with HVAC system design, including duct sizing, airflow calculations, and system balancing.
• Support equipment selection based on project specifications and engineering requirements.
• Participate in the design and optimisation of industrial process systems.
• Assist with reliability engineering, preventive maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and commissioning activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions on time and within budget.

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design.
• Knowledge of:
• Mechanical system design and thermal analysis.
• HVAC system design, duct sizing, and airflow balancing.
• Heat transfer calculations and equipment selection.

• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
• Engineering calculations and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Solid Works, or similar engineering software will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
