About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Solutions Architect to spearhead the design and development of innovative telecoms infrastructure solutions in Cape Town . This critical role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies within the telecommunications landscape to architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions that meet client needs. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to translate business requirements into technical blueprints, driving the successful implementation of complex projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic technical decisions and make a significant impact in the vibrant telecoms sector.
- Design end-to-end technical solutions for telecom services, encompassing wireless, fixed-line, and cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert technical guidance and recommendations.
- Develop comprehensive solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate new technologies and vendors to ensure the solutions proposed are cutting-edge and competitive.
- Lead the technical aspects of sales cycles, including demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations.
- Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards, best practices, and security requirements.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) as a Solutions Architect or Senior Network Engineer in the telecoms industry .
- Proven track record in designing complex network architectures, including SDN/NFV, cloud networking, and 5g.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications protocols, standards, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate complex technical concepts into clear business benefits.
