About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting a skilled Structural Engineer to join their prominent team in Cape Town , focusing on coastal development projects. This role involves the meticulous design and analysis of structures that are resilient to challenging coastal environments. You will collaborate with architects and construction teams to bring innovative building designs to life, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with stringent safety standards.

- Design and analyze various structural systems for buildings and infrastructure in coastal areas.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site investigations and assessments to evaluate existing structures and soil conditions.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design intent is realized.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international building codes and standards.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and resolve any structural issues that may arise.
- BEng or BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS) and CAD software. - Strong understanding of material properties and construction methods, particularly in marine environments.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
