CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – ELECTRICAL / RENEWABLE ENERGY

WESTERN CAPE | Project Based MINIMUM 12 MONTHS | Market-Related Salary

An established electrical engineering and construction company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and deliver large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.

This is a senior, hands-on project role for a strong Electrical Engineer or Technician with proven experience in renewable energy, wind farm and/or substation construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Manage project costing, planning, procurement and expenditure.
• Monitor budgets and project progress.
• Review and approve project documentation.
• Liaise directly with clients and internal departments.
• Provide technical/engineering input to resolve project issues.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Control standards.
• Manage materials, resources and subcontractors to achieve best project value.
• Prepare progress and status reports for senior management.

Requirements

• BTech / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• SACPCMP registration.
• Strong construction/project management experience.
• Wind farm, renewable energy and/or substation construction experience is essential.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel according to project requirements.
