Ready to power critical energy infrastructure and take the lead on high-voltage, complex industrial projects? We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to drive site supervision, power distribution, and energization across major petroleum terminal facilities.

You will oversee everything from high-hazard substations and MV/LV switch gear to hazardous area Ex equipment—ensuring flawless execution from initial installation through to site energization and commissioning.

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8–12 years of experience in oil & gas, terminal, refinery, or petrochemical environments.
• Power & HV/LV Infrastructure: Substations, transformers, MV/LV switch gear, MCCs, distribution boards, UPS systems, DC systems, and emergency generators.
• Site Testing & Pre-Commissioning: Insulation resistance, protection relay testing, transformer checks, CT/VT testing, circuit breakers, earthing resistance, and motor solo runs.
• Hazardous Area Controls: Ex equipment standards, cable glanding/sealing, earthing, bonding, ATEX, IECEx, and hazardous area classification.
• Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, API, and SANS requirements.

  Qualifications:
  
  Pr.Eng registration (ECSA), Comp Ex certification, IECEx, or NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
• Client-Side Leadership: Background working in an Owner’s Team, PMC, or Client Representative organization on major EPC projects.
• Documentation & Safety: Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and completion management systems.

• Field Inspection & Energization: Direct site testing, switch gear inspection, loop checks, and safe facility energization alongside operations.
• Engineering & Quality Governance: Audit contractor method statements, single-line diagrams, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to eliminate non-conformances.
• Inter-Disciplinary Alignment: Resolve technical interfaces between electrical power, I&C systems, mechanical rotating equipment, and civil assets.

• High-Authority Client Role: Represent the owner’s team with full oversight over EPC contractors and direct authority on quality and safety standards.
• Full-Lifecycle Scope: Lead critical power systems through all stages—from construction and mechanical completion to live energization and operational handover.
• Engineering Rigour: Work in a highly specialized, safety-first environment that emphasizes international code compliance and technical accuracy
