We are looking for a technically capable, commercially minded Sales Engineer. Mulckhuyse Consulting designs and delivers custom business systems for operationally complex South African companies: manufacturers, engineering firms, field-service businesses and distributors. Our clients need someone who understands their world before proposing a system for it.

The Sales Engineer sits at the front of that work. You will meet business owners, plant managers and engineers, understand how their operation actually runs, and translate that into a solution the team can build. It is a technical role and a commercial role in equal measure.## The position combines

Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds such as:
* Mechanical Engineering
* Mechatronic Engineering
* Automation* Manufacturing
* Industrial engineering and systems
* Related technical disciplines## What we are looking for
* A technical qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in an industrial environment.
* Genuine curiosity about how businesses operate and where their systems fall short.
* The ability to explain technical ideas clearly to people who are not technical.
* Comfort approaching new people and developing business, or a strong desire to learn to.
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required.
* Sales or client-facing experience is an advantage, not a requirement. We will teach the sales craft to the right technical person.## Compensation and growth
